   "Bigfoot" is the most widely recognized name for the worlds most elusive creature. However the name is a modern term coined by newspaper journalists in the 1950's after a series of sightings in the Pacific Northwest region of the United States. This creature has been around for longer then written history. Stories of the hairy creature have been told under many different names in countries and cultures worldwide.
